Emilie Moore began her Live from 205 career as a junior, having wanted to get more involved in the happenings at PV High. Starting out as a general assignment reporter and an anchor, Emilie's knowledge of newsroom procedure was very limited. However, as the months went on, she learned the art of creating news stories and the characteristics it took for a person to be a television anchor that people want to listen to. Day by day, she gained experience and skills that helped her to anchor and report for the program for two more years. Her favorite 205 story was an expository piece on a very subjective article published in the local newspaper, The Daily Breeze. For this assignment, Emilie especially enjoyed interviewing the article's author and revealing to PV high just how biased the article really was.
Now, as a student at USC, Emilie plans to let her inner "tree-hugger" show as she majors in environmental science. After college, she hopes to continue her education in law school, with an emphasis in environmental law. Although she will not be actively pursuing a journalism career, Emilie would love to incorporate the environment and journalism later in life, possibly working for a company like National Geographic. After all is said and done, Emilie would extend the biggest thanks to Mr. Vela and her 2005-2008 Live from 205 family who made high school exponentially more amazing.
To all future 205ers, Emilie says "good luck, keep the quality of your work at its highest, and know that I will be watching from USC, tritons up!"
